About the Gilmore girls show
Quick guide for the show: The show follows single mother Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her daughter, also named Lorelai but who prefers to be called Rory (Alexis Bledel), living in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. The town is filled with colorful characters and is located approximately 30 minutes from Hartford, Connecticut (as stated in the show's pilot). The series explores issues of family, friendship and romance, as well as generational divides and social class. Ambition, education, work, love, family, and questions of class constitute some of the series' central concerns. The show's social commentary manifests most clearly in Lorelai's difficult relationship with her wealthy, appearance-obsessed parents, Emily and Richard Gilmore, and in Rory's interactions with the students at the Chilton Academy, and later, Yale University... Gilmore girls Season 6
DVD Guide for this season: Can it be the Gilmore Girls if the Gilmore girls aren't together? At the end of Season 5, Rory dropped out of Yale and moved into Emily and Richard's poolhouse - decisions that broke Lorelai's heart. That's handy, because one half of that heart can be deliriously happy with the big new step in her love affair with Luke. Meanwhile, the other half grieves, and it seems everyone in town wants mother an daughter to reunite. But it may take an unexpected out-of-towner to make it happen.
Of course, there's much more: Lane gets a surprise that leaves her reeling with joy. Luke gets a surprise that may send the Luke-and-Lorelai relationship reeling. What's no surprise is the snappy, wish-I'd-said-that Gilmore dialogue, knowing humour and insightful storytelling fans adores. Season 6 starts now!

Gilmore girls: A Year in the Life
Guide for this season (the guide is not spoiler-free): Due to her frequent travels as a freelance journalist, Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) gives up her apartment in favor of staying at her friends' homes in New York, Stars Hollow, and London. In London, Rory stays with Logan Huntzberger (Matt Czuchry) while working on a book for the eccentric Naomi Shropshire (Alex Kingston). Rory and Logan are in a no-strings-attached relationship, although Logan is engaged and Rory has a boyfriend named Paul. When Naomi fires her and Logan's fiancee moves in, Rory struggles with her lack of a career and her relationship with Logan. She meets with Jess Mariano (Milo Ventimiglia), who encourages her to write her own book about her life with her mother.
Emily Gilmore (Kelly Bishop) grieves the recent death of her husband and tricks her daughter Lorelai (Lauren Graham) into starting therapy with her. Lorelai has also been feeling lost due to the death of her father, the career progressions of her long-time business partners, and her relationship with Luke Danes (Scott Patterson). Lorelai and Luke have been dating for over ten years but have yet to marry or discuss children. After fighting with Rory about the book idea, Lorelai spontaneously leaves home to hike the Pacific Crest Trail in the manner of Wild... Source: Wikipedia
